Martin Bamford
Director
With over 35 years of experience in the building industry, including 20 years in project management and 18 years specialising in recladding, Martin Bamford is the backbone of Platinum Pacific Group. As a Trade-qualified Carpenter with a Trade Certificate and Advanced Certificate, Martin has worked on some of New Zealand's most challenging projects, including heritage building remediation in Christchurch and high-rise commercial developments.

Our home had been extensively damaged by fire and when you’re faced with a large and expensive repair job, it takes a lot of pressure off to know you are dealing with a professional you can trust.
The team at Platinum Pacific Reclad Ltd, apart from rebuilding our home, had the skill and experience to carry out additional work including changes to the roof design and complete refurbishment of the interior, including modernisation of all the bathrooms and kitchen. We took the opportunity to reclad with timber weatherboards, rather than the existing plaster system, which resulted in an increase in valuation of approximately $300,000. It also made the house more “saleable” as a lot of buyers will not look at a plaster house even if there are no leaks.
I have renovated multiple houses before and built several but wanted to concentrate on my business and let the experts take care of the project. This meant we didn’t have the additional hassle of working with multiple contractors, in fact we had the confidence to let Marty and his team handle all of the details. They were a great team to work with and any problems that arose wore sorted out quickly and without any hassle.
The work was done with quality materials and workmanship and we don’t think we could have got a better outcome.
Having your home diagnosed as ‘leaky’ is a very stressful experience. We engaged Platinum Pacific Reclad to ‘fix’ it. The whole process was managed very well by Marty, he responded promptly to any queries we had, taking the time to explain any detail we wanted to discuss, big or small. He was always mindful of keeping within budget without compromising design or workmanship. His team were always professional, respectful and also willing to explain anything while working on site. I have used Platinum Pacific Homes to sort out a major problem in a rental property that I own. The tenant had not advised that there was a leak in the bedroom and as a consequence the ceiling fell in. Platinum Pacific Homes dropped everything and rushed to the rescue, making the place habitable again in only two days.
They not only fixed the roof, ceiling and bedroom but found another leak around the shower and replaced the surrounding areas and put in a new shower for me.

We were initially a little apprehensive about staying in the house during the reclad but our anxieties were unfounded as the team were great to have around and made it easy. There were several things we really liked about your approach. You and Richard made everything seem manageable and relatively easy, with a very helpful ‘can do’ attitude.
